Stone Mason / Stone Cutter

Northeast Masonry Distributors is seeking talented workers to join our stone fabrication operation in Plainville MA.  Experienced masons/stone cutter and self-starters who are willing to learn are encouraged to apply. All work is performed in-doors in our well-equipped and modern shop. The right applicant would receive competitive pay, top benefits, great working conditions, and full-time employment. Construction experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities:

  • All areas of natural stone fabrication (moving, cutting, polishing, detailing, etc.)
  • Other jobs as needed

Requirements:

  • Understand dimensions.
  • Able to work from drawings.
  • Able to lift at least 90 lbs.
  • Willing to learn.
  • Able to work in a team environment.
  • Must be able to pass a drug test.
  • Must be authorized to work in the US.
Laborer

The person assists our team of stone fabricators in the production of custom cut stone for high-end landscape trades. All work is performed in-doors in our well-equipped and modern shop. The right applicant would receive competitive pay, top benefits, great working conditions, and full-time employment. Construction experience is a plus but not required.

 Activities include:

  • Picking materials from inventory using a forklift for fabrication work orders.
  • Assisting the fabricator maneuvering stone during the fabrication process.
  • Operating hand & stationary power tools (training will be provided as-needed)
  • Packaging finished goods for shipment.
  • General housekeeping in fabrication shop.
  • Record keeping & general paperwork required by the job.

Qualifications

  • Experience in the construction trades.
  • Desire to develop skills in stone fabrication.
  • Aptitude for basic mathematics.
  • Ability to lift up to 90 lbs.
  • Must be able to pass a drug test.
  • Must be authorized to work in the US.
